I got a call Wednesday asking if I could go and clean a son’s car.

The guy is the owner of this BMW.

and his son has just g ot this 2016 1.4 Vauxhall Corsa Sting.

Originally it had white wheels and a white stripe from the front bumper, over the roof to the bot.

He’s had the wheels (not very well) sprayed black, black vinyl on the roof and black vinyl on the wing mirrors.

Hi mate, long time no see. I hope your well.

He didn’t like the white, said it was too, ‘girly’ (he’s still young).

I was told there was tree sap on the roof, then when I got to the car told that there was tree sap on the roof and that there still is, but who ever did the roof vinyl, put it on over the top of the tree sap, rather than remove it first.

No, not really. If I was doing a deep clean, I’d mask off some tape over the vinyl so as not to damage it. There are some vinyl cleaners out there. But generally just be a little more cautious around the edging and using strong chemicals or abrasives on the vinyl.

Pretty good. It’s been an up and down year but I’m sat here post KFC bargain boneless bucket with a glass of whiskey.

Is the family okay?

I can sort of see what he was meaning with the white on red but the way it’s been changed is quite half arsed.

I’ve driven these before. Rivals like the Fiesta, Polo, and half- the- price Dacia Sandero really highlight how lazy GM can be.
